INSPIRE Lab member Muhammad A. Lodhi is starting a five month internship at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories, Cambridge, MA as part of the NSF INTERN program.

Three of INSPIRE Lab members are embarking on exciting research internships in the summer: Talal Ahmed at Philips Research Cambridge, Zahra Shakeri at Adobe Research, and Zhixiong Yang at Bell Labs.

Prof. Bajwa gave two research seminars at the University of Minnesota, one as part of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering Colloquium Series and the other as part of the Digital Technology Center Seminar Series.

INSPIRE Lab, in collaboration with researchers from Colorado School of Mines and the University of Wisconsin, is starting an 18-month research project as part of the DARPA Lagrange program.

Prof. Bajwa has been appointed Technical Area Chair of the Adaptive Systems, Machine Learning, and Data Analytics track of the 2018 Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems, and Computers, which will be held in Pacific Grove, CA from October 28 to October 31, 2018.

Prof. Bajwa has been appointed an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Signal and Information Processing over Networks.

Prof. Bajwa has been appointed a Senior Area Editor of the IEEE Signal Processing Letters.

INSPIRE Lab member Muhammad Asad Lodhi has successfully passed the PhD qualifying exam. Congratulations Asad!

Two of INSPIRE Lab’s papers ([C78] and [C80]) at the 7th IEEE International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP), held from December 10 to December 13, 2017 in Curaçao, Dutch Antilles, were among the ten finalists for the Best Student Paper Award. In addition, the paper by Talal Ahmed won the 2nd place in the Best Student Paper Award competition. Congratulations Talal!

Prof. Bajwa is serving as a Technical Program Co-Chair for the 19th IEEE International Workshop on Signal Processing Advances in Wireless Communications (SPAWC), which will be held in Kalamata, Greece from June 25 to June 28, 2018.

Prof. Bajwa is serving as a member of the Technical Program Committee for the IEEE Data Science Workshop, which will be held in Lausanne, Switzerland from June 4 to June 6, 2018.

INSPIRE Lab has four papers accepted for the 7th IEEE International Workshop on Computational Advances in Multi-Sensor Adaptive Processing (CAMSAP), which will be held from December 10 to December 13, 2017 in Curaçao, Dutch Antilles.
